Our Series A and the Path Ahead

A note from Paul Zeckser, CEO & Co-founder:

Today we’re excited to announce $22M in new funding, led by Innovation Endeavors, along with new investors Blackhorn Ventures, DivcoWest Ventures, and 9Yards Capital, as well as existing backers Primary Venture Partners, MetaProp, and Banter Capital.

We’re proud to already count many of the country’s leading developers and GCs as partners, and we have big plans for this next phase of LightTable’s growth. I believe it couldn’t come at a more important time for the industry.

Why Now

As modern construction projects call in a more complex web of stakeholders, the cracks in the industry’s workflow infrastructure have become a can’t-ignore roadblock. When I visit our customers and talk to their project managers, they feel this too: thousands of pages of documents being worked on by dozens of designers and consultants can’t scale.

Those teams are looking for a workflow tool that’s truly collaborative and end-to-end, without compromising quality or schedule. They want to catch issues earlier so they aren’t forced to figure them out in the field.

The rise of AI-native tooling offers that opportunity, and I’m convinced this is a technology cycle real estate can’t afford to sit out.

What Comes Next

We’re taking the momentum of our QA/QC tool to all the other areas of pre-construction. When AI is deployed well and teams see what it can do, the appetite to apply it in all kinds of other ways becomes a no-brainer. So from LightTable, you can expect a growing product suite in a unified place, where everyone has the insights they need to make decisions more quickly, more cheaply, and more confidently.

With this funding, we’re pushing further on every front: new product releases at a compounding pace, deeper integrations, and an aggressive hiring plan that pulls both veteran AEC experts and world-class AI engineers together for the firms we serve.

On a personal note: It’s been a wild, rewarding ride since we came out of stealth last year. I’m really proud of the team we’ve built to date, and as always, we’re hiring.
